- Attributes: R griersonianum forms an elegant, open structured shrub to 8' tall. It sports red flowers in spring.
- Notes: R. griersonianum is a gorgeous rhododendron in its own taxonomic group. The flowers of this species are red, which I always to seen in a natural, un-selected/hybridized species. Highly threatened in the wild due to habitat loss.
- Uses: Makes an elegant, open shrub good for use as a specimen or bright understory, large shrub.
