- Native Range: East Asia.
- Soil: Moist soil conditions and neutral to low pH.
- Light: Shade to part shade.
- Height in the Garden: This clone reaches 8" to 10" tall with flower stalks up to 14" tall.
- Attributes: Compact, clumping form of Hosta montana with lavender flowers in mid summer. Deciduous in the cold months.
- Notes: H. montana is wide spread and highly variable. This particular clone is on the small side and has not undergone any selective breeding to my knowledge; It's what nature has given us. Most of my plants will be flowering this month, July 2024.
- Uses: Kusamono, shade garden.
