Attributes: Rosette of stiff, narrow, spiny green-gray leaves with a silvery coating. Grows in tight clusters. Produces tall spikes of delicate, orange to yellow flowers in spring or summer.
Notes: A terrestrial bromeliad with succulent-like qualities. Drought-tolerant and very tough. Excellent choice for rock gardens, xeriscapes, or containers. Can be stunning in bonsai-style dish gardens or accent plantings.
Uses: Accent plant for bonsai, rock garden specimen, drought-tolerant landscaping, indoor container gardening.
