- USDA Cold Hardiness Zone: 7
- Native Range: East Asia.
- Soil: Average soil conditions and neutral pH.
- Light: Full sun.
- Height in the Garden: 30'
- Attributes: Broadleaf evergreen tree in the Lauracece. Foliage has three parallel veins and is pendulous in well grown trees. This is not an edible plant, though may have some medicinal uses.....that I know nothing about and don't recommend using my plants for.
- Notes: Strange people like me and my associates are well infatuated by broadleaf evergreen trees and especially those in the lauraceae, an illustrious family. Cinnamomum is indeed the source of cinnamon and camphor; other associates include Laurus nobilis or bay leaf, Umbellularia californica or Califonia bay, Litsea, Neolitsea, Lindera, Sassafras and many more.
- Uses: Bonsai, collector's tree.
