- USDA Cold Hardiness Zone: 7

- Height in the Garden: Up to 70', though likely lower
-
Size: ~4" square pot
- Attributes: Pointy lobed leaves, beautiful fall color, white flowers and edible fruits.
- Notes: For some reason I'm kind of in love with the genus Sorbus. Sorbus is in the rose family and has better than 100 species. Many species have unusual reproduction, hybridize readily and seem to be rapidly evolving in certain locations. All bare fruit, some of which are edible. Don't just go around eating unknown fruits based on what I am saying here please! Sorbus go by many common names including Rowan, Service Tree, Chequer Tree, Whitebeam and many more. I have read that Sorbus torminalis is associated with climax forest conditions.
