Soil: Consistently moist, not soggy. Neutral to low pH.
Light: Light shade to full shade.
Height in the Garden: Up to 12'
Attributes:.Broadleaf, evergreen, flowering shrub. Leaves and flowers are smaller on average than standard Camellia japonica. Flowers are about 1.5" or smaller in diameter, making for well scaled for bonsai and are single, white and lightly blushed pink. It has a long bloom period in late winter to spring in zone 9b or higher. Bark is smooth and light gray.
Notes: One of my favorie camellias to grow with its simple flowers and well proportioned parts. This plant has good roots, than need sorting this coming dormant season.
