- USDA Cold Hardiness Zone: 8
- Native Range: East Asia
- Soil: Moist, well drained, neutral to acidic.
- Light: Full sun to part shade.
- Height in the Garden: Up to 6'+ in the garden.
- Attributes: This clone has erect, white flower clusters as opposed to the typical pendulous clusters. It is quite tall and gradually spreads to be a wide as is tall. It can easily dug and divided to maintain width and or propagate it.
- Notes: It will grow down to zone 8 under cover of trees or on a patio, though is deciduous in zone 8 without cover. The plants in my yard follow this pattern. Will be evergreen in zones 9b and up.
- Uses: Border, foundation, bright understory, patio plant, south facing wall if in an area without excessive, dry summer heat. Good as a patio or courtyard container plant.
