Attributes: Field Maple is a tough, fast growing tree that can do a lot with a little in terms of environmental conditions.
Notes: I love Field Maple, because it is east to grow, fast growing, attractive and easy to propagate. It makes an excellent shade tree and is wonderful in bonsai culture. Walter Pall has many wonderful examples of Field Maple bonsai.
