Collection: Field Grown Bonsai

Field stock, when referring to bonsai, is plant material that has been grown in the ground—often in open fields—specifically to develop thick trunks and strong root systems more quickly than container-grown plants. This stock is typically used as the foundation for future bonsai trees, providing raw material that can later be lifted from the ground, pruned, styled, and trained into refined bonsai over time. Field-grown bonsai stock is especially valued for its vigor and trunk development. It can take 2-3 years for these to be ready to go to their new home.
